Madison Township Police Department is a dynamic organization devoted to improvement, excellence, maintaining customer satisfaction, and operation on the Principles of Quality leadership.
Our Department has 19 full-time Officers. With the retirement of Chief Svagerko and a prior vacancy, we are short two Officers. Our Department handles approximately 17,000 calls for service per year. We patrol the largest Township in the State of Ohio with over 43 square miles of area and over 133 miles of roads. Our population is over 18,500 permanent residents with a small portion of seasonal residents. As you can see, this is a large responsibility for a small Department. Our Department is funded through levies and money the Board of Trustees allocates from the General Fund. Currently, the Trustees are allocating over $500,000 from the General Fund. Our total budget is over 1.6 million dollars.
