The Public Safety Group better describes the services managed by the department formerly known as the Police Department. The mission of the Public Safety Group remains the same: to serve all people within its jurisdiction with respect, fairness and compassion. The Public Safety Group is committed to providing professional police services on a 24-hours a day basis every day of the year. All requests for police services will be handled with efficiency and to the satisfaction of our customers, the public which live, work, play, attend school, shop or pass through O�Fallon every day. The Group continues to subscribe to the Community Oriented Policing & Problem Solving (COPPS) philosophy of police services. This philosophy requires the group to interact with the public and to be proactive in our approach to crime prevention.
