The Faribault Police Department is comprised of men and women who take pride in the service they provide to and the partnerships they have formed with the community. We are a full service agency made up of administration, patrol (with a full time community crime prevention officer), investigations (with full time school liaison officer), records, and special services unit for parking and animal control and nuisance abatement. The department is evolving towards a community policing philosophy. We have increased our citizen participation through neighborhood problem solving, and associations with groups like: Faribault Area Chaplains for Emergency Services; Seniors for Public Safety; Amateur Radio Emergency Response Team; and expanding the role of our reserve officers.
