The police department provides police services to the Wauconda community 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We are staffed by a Chief, Deputy Chief, six Sergeants, and 16 full-time sworn officers, all supported by a records clerk and administrative assistant. Our telecommunications center is modern, and is staffed by well-trained dispatch personnel. The Police Department Marine Unit is responsible for patrolling Bangs Lake, and is activated during the summer boating season. The Marine Unit is staffed by part-time, sworn officers
