The first priority of the Sun Valley Police Department is to assure public safety by protecting life and property to the maximum extent possible considering the resources available to the Department. The second duty and responsibility of the Sun Valley Police Department and of its Officers is to maintain the public peace and order. The third priority of the Police Department is to provide public service in whatever reasonable manner and by whatever reasonable means service may require by citizens or visitors to the community or to our neighboring entities. The fourth priority of the Police Department is for the enforcement of the Statutes of the State of Idaho and the ordinances of the City of Sun Valley.
