The Pasco Sheriff's Office is the major law enforcement and corrections agency in the county. The Pasco Sheriff's Office is the sole provider of traditional law enforcement for 89 percent of the county's land area and the Sheriff's Office operates the county's two detention centers.
Our agency employs about 1,100 full-and part-time employees, including more than 375 law enforcement deputies, 275 detention deputies, 300 civilians and 30 courtroom bailiffs.
The mission of the Pasco County Sheriff's Office is to improve the quality of life in our community by reducing fear, preventing crime and enforcing the law while protecting each individual's freedoms guaranteed by the United States Constitution.
