The Police Department takes great pride in making the Town one of the safest communities along Colorado�s Front Range. Emphasizing education and crime prevention, we've seen the number of major crimes in Castle Rock decline since 2000, despite doubling in population and a slowing economy over the same period. The Department is divided into three divisions: Administration, Operations and Support Services. The Department�s 73.5 employees include 52.5 sworn and 21 civilian personnel, as well as K-9 units (Jax and Kuno and their handlers), Community Policing, an Emergency Response Team and Investigations.
