The Hope Police Department is more than just a law enforcement entity. We are a family of approximately 45 people that participate in and empower our community by protecting the constitutional rights of our citizens and visitors. Through our services, we help provide our citizens and visitors a safe and productive environment in order to conduct commerce, enjoy life, raise families, and participate in community activities. We exist to ensure that all individuals can lawfully pursue life, liberty and happiness. We are committed to partnering our efforts with the goals and objectives of the City Board, City Management, as well as other Local, State and Federal entities. In times of personal crisis we are there. We stand as a line of defense against brutality and oppression by striving to hold people accountable for unlawful conduct. We play an important role in a complicated social network that helps people recover from tragedy to rebuild their lives and dreams. To accomplish our mission and goals, the Hope Police Department is currently staffed with 25 Sworn Police Officers, 3 Administrative Support Staff, 6 Public Safety Operators/Dispatchers, 2 Animal Control Officers, 2 School Crossing Guards, and 10 Reserve Officer positions.
